Malibu is a unique place. After working exclusively in Malibu for over 25 years, we have gained a sense of what works and, more  importantly, what doesn't work in this region. Many landscape designers haven't worked here long enough to have the personal experience required to properly design a successful Malibu landscape.

Design sense is important because it will affect the overall look of your  landscaping.  A fine home in Malibu should have a landscape that complements the architecture of the home and reflects the tastes of its owners.

Plant  choice is important because many plants that might work aesthetically  simply won't perform well here in Malibu. Working in landscape maintenance has taught us that some plants are good choices in theory, but not in reality.

Irrigation is an integral component of a great landscape design. Too many  landscape designers and contractors are uneducated and inexperienced in this area. Sprinklers are usually installed with a "hope for the best" attitude. This results in landscapes with "problem areas": sections that are either overwatered or underwatered. An irrigation system needs to  be properly engineered, yet this step is often overlooked. We have the  knowledge and experience necessary to ensure the proper watering of your landscape.
